Cocktails + French Fries
Joey Dallas is my reliable late night fallback.
In a city this size, there still aren’t that many places open until 1am that feel grown up, well lit, safe, and easy to park. When it’s 11pm and you’re not ready to call it, but you also don’t want a college bar or a chaotic scene, Joey is the move.
It’s swanky. Dim. Beautiful. Chic modern interiors, dramatic lighting, polished energy. You’re paying for the vibe - and the vibe delivers.
Yes, it’s pricey. There’s no pretending otherwise. But sometimes convenience, ambiance, and late hours win.
What to Drink
They welcome you with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, which softens the sting immediately.
Late night, I’m ordering an Espresso Martini (always with a splash of Baileys for creaminess) or an Old Fashioned with Luxardo syrup. The bartenders are sharp and unbothered by custom requests - always a good sign.
The “Fries”
The fries are solid. They do their job. Salty, crispy enough, reliable for snacking while you debrief.
If you want to elevate the table, skip the fries and mini French dips and order the Spicy Crab Dip with grilled sourdough. Or lean into the night and split the Butter Cake. That’s the real move.
Happy Hour
I’m usually there late, but the “Adult Snack Pack” section of their happy hour menu is tempting - fries and a mini martini for $16 feels like a very compelling girl dinner. Happy hour runs 3–6pm Monday–Friday in select areas of the restaurant.
Anything I’d Change
At this price point and level of polish, I’d love to see the staff dress code feel more aligned with the elevated interior. It’s a beautiful room. Let the team feel as comfortable as the guests.
Can you stay awhile and talk about real life? Yes - if you’re prepared for the tab.
Works for date night? Absolutely.
Bring the family? Not the move.
Big group dinner? If the expense account is strong.
Joey is not where you go for a bargain. It’s where you go when you want lighting, ambiance, parking, safety, and a place that stays open past midnight.
