Cocktails + French Fries
Cane Rosso is the kind of neighborhood spot you don’t have to overthink.
It’s reliable. It’s lively. It works whether you’re sliding into a bar seat for a quick catch-up or grabbing a table for a low-maintenance weeknight dinner. Locally owned, familiar, and always humming.
This is not swanky and dim. This is easy and dependable.
What to Drink
Tuesday and Wednesday nights are half-price bottled wine - which makes lingering very tempting. They rotate a cocktail of the month (usually fun, usually solid), and as spring rolls in, the Blood Orange Spritz, Spicy Paloma, or Frosé are all safe bets.
Mocktails are strong here too, which makes this a flexible meeting spot depending on the night.
Happy hour runs Monday–Friday from 3–6pm with $6 house wines and $10 margarita pizzas. Hard to argue with that.
The “Fries”
No traditional fries, but the rosemary tots step into the role nicely.
If you want to lean fully into Italian snack mode, go for the fried nugz or the fried artichokes with Calabrian chili aioli. Shareable, salty, conversation-friendly.
If the night turns into dinner, the Honey Bastard pizza is iconic for a reason - bacon marmalade, spicy soppressata, and hot honey. The balance of sweet and heat still hits.
Insider Move
The $16 lunch combo (10” pizza plus salad or tots) is one of the better weekday deals in the neighborhood. Perfect when you’ve got an hour to debrief and get back to work.
Anything I’d Change
Skip weekend evenings if you’re looking for grown-up energy. The patio can turn into kid central and the dining room gets crowded. Weeknights are the sweet spot.
Can you stay awhile and talk about real life? Yes - on a weeknight.
Works for date night? A very casual one, yes.
Bring the family? Sure - just keep them close.
Big group dinner? Yes, but call ahead.
Cane Rosso isn’t precious. It’s dependable. And sometimes dependable is exactly what the week calls for.
